March 2026 – sun on your face and the first contours visible

We are back after a few days in Macisvenda.
Back in the Netherlands…but actually still completely there.
In Spain. In that place where the days feel different. Quieter. Lighter.
Where 12 degrees is suddenly warm enough. Where you just sit outside in your shorts and shirt. In the sun. With a glass of wine. And think… yes, this is it.
Over the past few days, we have walked around the grounds a lot. Not in a hurry, and not with a rigid plan in mind. Quite the opposite. Just quietly. Looking, stopping, looking around, and taking a few more steps. And then you notice that a place like this actually tells you on its own what is right and what isn't.
We wondered what it must feel like when you arrive here with your camper. Where do you want to park when you open the door in the morning? What do you want to see when you look outside, still a bit sleepy, with your first cup of coffee in your hand? Those are the moments that matter. Not how level the spot is or how efficiently everything can be arranged, but what you feel when you are standing there.
Quite quickly, one thing became clear to us. You won't be looking directly at another camper here. That simply doesn't fit this place. Here, you should look outside and see nothing but space. Mountains in the distance, the sky, silence. That is why we are setting up the pitches so that you look past each other, not at one another. So that you have your own little spot, with your own view, without feeling enclosed. Just free, open, and peaceful.

No queues, no side-by-side parking spaces. But places where you sit down, feel the sun on your face, and think you'll stay a little longer. Maybe another glass of wine, staying seated just a bit longer because it's simply too beautiful to get up.
And while we were doing that, something happened that made this time different from all the previous times. It was small, but to us, it felt big. The beginning is here.
We walked towards the front of the site, to the spot where the entrance will soon be. There we saw it. The first lines. Not a real wall yet, nothing immediately noticeable, but exactly where the entrance gate will be. We paused there for a moment and looked at it. This is the beginning. This is where you will enter. This is where it starts.
That moment felt special. Because it suddenly becomes tangible. Not just plans and ideas, but something that really exists. It is becoming an enclosed area, not to close it off, but precisely to create peace and privacy. So that you enter and immediately feel that you are in a place filled with care. Where you are away from everything for a moment.
At the same time, we have also been working on how it should feel in and around the casita, the guesthouse. We went into shops, looked at furniture and materials, but above all at atmosphere. What fits here? What feels right? And perhaps even more importantly, what doesn't?

The casita shouldn't become a place that is cluttered. It should be a place that feels right. Where you come in, put down your bag, and essentially walk right back out. Because that's where it happens. Because that's where the view is, the sun, the peace. Where you sit down and stay seated. Without reason. Or perhaps with a glass of wine in your hand, because that moment simply calls for it.
What became clear again these days is that this is not about luxury as we often know it. It is not in possessions or in everything that is possible. It lies in peace. In space. In mindfulness. In the feeling of briefly disconnecting from everything that has to be done.
That is what we want to create. For campers looking for something different from the standard spots. For guests of the casita who want to stay here and truly unwind. Small-scale, personal, and without the hustle and bustle. But with that feeling that you are welcome here and that everything feels right.
We are building this step by step. Slowly, as it should be here. Without haste, but with attention. And until then, we will simply take you along. In everything that is already there and in everything that is to come.
If you want to keep following this and be one of the first to know when you can come here, sign up via our website . Then we might see you sitting here yourself soon. In the sun, with a glass of wine, looking out over the mountains. And then you will feel exactly what we already feel.
See you next month!
