A chapter closed, a new beginning in sight

Some moments feel bigger than they appear on paper. Today was one of those days.

Today we signed the sales contract for our house, together with the buyers and Eddy Veth from Kooyman in Papendrecht.

A formal moment, captured with signatures, but with a clear emotional charge. Joy, pride, gratitude, and also the realization that we are letting go of something that has long been our foundation.

This house was more than just bricks and walls. It was a place where we lived, where we made plans, where we built our lives together, our work, and our future plans. Therefore, signing the contract feels not only like a practical step, but also like the closure of an important chapter.

After the signing, we had drinks together in Papendrecht. A moment of reflection. Not rushing through, but consciously marking this moment. The emotion was palpable, and that was perfectly fine. It's part of change. Of moving forward. Of choosing a new phase.

By signing these documents, space is created. Space in the mind, space in the heart, and space to look beyond where we came from.

And we are already cautiously looking ahead.

On February 12, 2026, we'll travel back to Spain. Back to the place where the next phase is starting to take shape. Where plans are becoming more concrete, conversations are held, and ideas are slowly starting to materialize. This trip feels different from previous visits. Less dreaming, more doing. Less exploring, more shaping.

And as we close this chapter, we look ahead with an open mind. On to the next phase. On to Spain. On to what may emerge there.

In a next update, we will take you along on our journey of February 12th and everything that takes shape there.
